Worked as a Graphic Designer on Season 2 of the new Doctor Who series, produced at Bad Wolf Studios in Cardiff for Disney+ and BBC Studios. As part of the expanded graphics team following the show’s global relaunch, I contributed to a wide range of design work — from 1950’s Miami to futuristic interfaces, alien languages, and spaceship control panels.
Period Graphics – 1950s Miami
Episode 2 was set in 1952 Miami, providing a rich opportunity to design a wide range of mid-century period graphics. This included vintage signage, product packaging, diner menus, a custom-designed hero carpet for the cinema set, large-scale Perspex signage, and LED neon lighting — all capturing the vibrant aesthetic of 1950s America.
Futuristic Environment and Interface Design
Episode 3 was set in the distant future on an abandoned outpost on an alien planet, offering a unique opportunity to design a range of futuristic graphics. This included worn-out control panels, user interfaces, environmental signage, and fabricated elements like doors and warning labels.
Interstellar Song Contest
Episode 6 was the most expansive and design-heavy episode of the season, offering the chance to create a rich variety of graphics for a multi-planet sci-fi setting. From interfaces for control panels, airlock and hatch graphics, and warning systems to planetary flags, insignias, and user interfaces.
