Doctor Who Season 2

Worked as a Graphic Designer on Season 2 of the new Doctor Who series, produced at Bad Wolf Studios in Cardiff for Disney+ and BBC Studios. As part of the expanded graphics team following the show’s global relaunch, I contributed to a wide range of design work — from 1950’s Miami to futuristic interfaces, alien languages, and spaceship control panels.

Production Designer: Phil Sims
Supervising Art Director: Robyn Paiba
Set Decorator: Adrian Anscombe

Job Title: Graphic Designer

Tx Dates: 12th April 2025 – 31st May 2025

Period Graphics – 1950s Miami

Episode 2 was set in 1952 Miami, providing a opportunity to design a wide range of mid-century period graphics. This included vintage signage, product packaging, diner menus, a custom-designed hero carpet for the cinema set, large-scale Perspex signage, and LED neon lighting.

Futuristic Environment and Interface Design

Episode 3 was set in the distant future on an abandoned outpost on an alien planet, offering a unique opportunity to design a range of futuristic graphics. This included worn-out control panels, user interfaces, environmental signage, and fabricated elements like doors and warning labels.

Interstellar Song Contest

Episode 6 was the most expansive and design-heavy episode of the season, offering the chance to create a rich variety of graphics for a multi-planet sci-fi setting. From interfaces for control panels, airlock and hatch graphics, and warning systems to planetary flags, insignias, and user interfaces.

Orphan 55

This episode of Doctor Who required me to design a number of futuristic graphics from user interfaces, food products and menus.

Motion graphics created in Adobe After Effects and product graphics created in illustrator / indesign.

Episode 25, 29, 31

In this series of Casualty we had three episodes set either on a station platform or on a train so I designed a series of graphics for a fictitious train franchise.

Episode 31

Production Designer: Penny Harvey

Selected Graphics

Paediatric Ward

New for this series was a Paediatric Ward – which required alot of new graphics and signage. I designed several murals on foamboard which could be easily removed as well as drawing several other child themed cartoons such as rocket ships, farm animals, lily pads, monsters that could be used throughout the ward.

Episode 26

Production Designer: Myra Lewis
Art Director: David Buck

This episode featured was a crossover between Casualty and Holby when the hospital is infected by a computer virus. I designed a series of still images and motion graphics imitating various stages of a computer virus for Casualty as well as the subsequent Holby City episode .

Episode 30

Production Designer: Penny Harvey
Art Director: Lucy Robertson

This was an episode set in a Paramedic Call Centre. To make sure we got it as accurate as possible I spent time with a medical advisor to match my graphics with what you would expect to see in a real-life paramedic call centre

I created a variety of screens for the episode, a was mixture of still, animated and interactives executable files.

Episode 42

Production Designer: Henry Jaworski
Art Director: Abby Greenhaf

This episode was set in a derelict childrens softplay centre. The centre was called Toucan Towers so I designed a toucan logo as well as signage for the centre which was then aged for the shoot.
